Suggest a better descriptionIn a saucepan, bring the butter & water to a boil. remove from heat. In a bowl combine the flour, sugar & salt. Pour hot mixture over dry ingredients. Combine. Add the buttermilk, eggs, soda & almond extract. Mix well. Pour into greased jelly roll pan (10x15) and bake at 375 for 20 min. Test with a toothpick. Cool cake for 20 min. Spread frosting over warm cake.
Frosting Ingredients:
1 stick of margarine
1/4 cup milk
4- 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1?2 teaspoon almond extract
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Combine margarine & milk in saucepan. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat & pour over powdered sugar & extract. Mix well. Spread over warm cake.
