Heat oil in lg pot or Dutch oven over med high heat.
Add onion, carrots, celery, garlic and tomato paste.
Cook approx 10 mins
Stir in broth, beans, tomatoes with juices, farro and rosemary then bring to boil.
Reduce heat and simmer 30 mins
Add up to 3 cups water if too thick.
Season with salt and pepper.
Stir kale and Parmesan into soup in last 5 minutes then drizzle with pesto (that’s optional)
