Simmer celery in water 10 minutes if desired. ( I usually just stir the celery into the cooking wild rice toward the end of cooking time to save a step)
Gently mix all ingredients except bread crumbs . Place in a buttered casserole. Spread crumbs on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
How to cook wild rice. Rinse 1 cup raw wild rice thoroughly. Place in saucepan, add 3 cups water and 2 tsp chicken bouillon. Boil until tender. Ready for hot dish.
How to make buttered bread crumbs. Melt 1/4 cup butter, stir 1 cup dry bread crumbs into butter.
