Combine uncooked wild rice, 2 cups broth, carrots, celery and onions. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 35 minutes or until rice is tender but still chewy
Add mushrooms the last 5 minuets of cooking
In a medium saucepan, melt butter, stir in flour and salt and pepper
Add remaining broth
Stir in cream
Add to rice mixture and chicken and heat thoroughly
Garnish with chives
