These are a chewy peanut butter oatmeal bar. They do not last long in my house. We do have some peanut allergies in the family and have used sun butter (made out of sunflower seeds) instead of peanut butter with the same results.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix brown sugar and margarine. Add vanilla, corn syrup and peanut butter. Mixing until well blended. Add oatmeal and chocolate chips, mixing well. Press into 9x13 pan. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until edges are browned.
***Metal pan works best. Tends to stick to glass***
