Grease muffin cups with shortening.
Pre-heat pan, coated with oil or drippings or 1 tsp. butter.
Mix flour & salt, add milk & eggs and beat vigorously with beater.
Cover bottom of pan with 1/2 inch of batter or fill muffin cups 1/2 full.
450 degrees for 20 minutes, then lower to 350 degrees for up to 20 more minutes.
DON'T OPEN OVEN WHILE COOKING!
Watch through oven window, do not over cook!
