Drain and set aisde
Sautee onion, bacon and garlic until soft. Add water, broth and potatoes and cook till tender.
Cut sausage in half lengthwise and then into 1/4" slices, and add to soup. Add kale and cream. Cook until kale is soft. Serve with freshly grated parmesan.
