Recipe also works well in my bread machine. Make rolls by putting the dough cycle on bread machine, divide into rolls, cover with damp towel and put in warm place for final rising. Dough should double in size. Cut baking time to 15 - 20 minutes.
Category: Bread
Cuisine: American
3 cups Whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon Salt
2 teaspoons Yeast
3/4 cup 2% low-fat milk
1/4 cup Water
2 tablespoons Canola oil
3 tablespoons Honey
1 each Egg lightly beaten
Came out pretty well. A little dense, but it baked up nicely.
jboosheyEasy to follow. Just pulled a fresh loaf out of the over and Yummy!!!!!
malindamartinezReally enjoy this bread-my whole family eats it, including a toddler and a picky husband. Works well in my bread machine. I put all the wet ingredients in first, then the flour, the salt around the edge and the yeast in a well on top, per my machine's instructions. I only use the dough setting, because it doesn't rise enough in the machine. I take it out for the final rise and bake it in my oven. Because of the milk and egg, I keep this bread in the fridge. Nice to have a 100% whole wheat recipe!
