Preheat oven to 350 F.
Mix together the chopped apples, spices, brown sugar, and melted margarine. Set aside.
Cut the squash in half and scoop out the seeds. Place the squash cut side down in glass baking dish and add 1 1/2 inch water. Bake for 25 minutes.
Turn squash right side up and fill each half with apple mixture. Bake for another 20 minutes, or until the squash is tender.
