Preheat the oven to 110C/225F/gas 1/4. Line two baking sheets with parchment or non-stick paper. In a clean bowl whisk up the egg whites until stiff. Gradually whisk in half the sugar until thoroughly mixed in and the mixture stands in peaks and very glossy. Using a metal spoon fold in the remaining sugar and salt. Use the mixture to pipe meringue shells, baskets, nests or by adding chopped nuts, rocky roads. Cook in the preheated oven until dry, crisp and golden on top. DISCLAIMER?
