Beef Stuffed Peppers

Ingredients

4 large green peppers

1 medium onion chipped

2 teaspoons butter or margarine melted

1 pound ground beef

1 8 oz can tomato sauce

1 8 1/4 oz can corn drained

2 teaspoons chili powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup cheddar cheese shredded


Directions

Cut off tops of green peppers; remove centers and discard. Cook peppers 5 minutes in boiling water; drain and set aside. Saute onion in butter until tender; add ground beef, and cook until browned. Drain well. Stir in remaining ingredients except cheese. Stuff peppers with meat mixture, and place in an 8 inch square baking dish. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Sprinkle tops with cheese. Bake 5 minutes more.
