Bourbon Chicken

A flavorful chicken dish named after Bourbon Street in New Orleans, Louisiana. This was a copycat recipe I found & modified of the Bourbon Chicken sold in most Chinese take-outs; which rarely use bourbon as a component. It's wonderfully sweet & spicy without being too hot. For kids that don't like hotstuffs, cut down on the pepper flakes!

Good stuff. Most of the family liked it. I dialed back the spices for my family but I like it with a kick. Added brocolli as a side as well. Also I used boneless skinless chicken thighs to have a jucier more tender dish. We will be making it again.

Added a little mesquite and liquid smoke and it was really good

Good recipe however needed a few adjustments as others have mentioned. Added broccoli, doubled the cornstarch, added hot sauce. A bit time consuming to make but worth it.
