Cajun Cabbage

Ingredients

2 Garlic cloves minced

1/4 ts Black pepper; (up to 1/2)

1 ts Salt

1/4 ts White pepper; (up to 1/2)

1/4 ts Cayenne pepper; (up to 1/2)

1 cn (10 oz) diced tomatoes and

1 lb Ground beef

1 md Onion chopped

1 md Green pepper chopped

1 cn (8 oz) tomato sauce

1/2 ts Dried basil

1/2 ts Oregano

4 dr Hot pepper sauce; (up to 6)

1 sm Head of cabbage

1/2 c Uncooked long grain rice

4 oz Shredded colby cheese


Directions

in a skillet, cook the beef, green pepper, onion and garlic until meat is no longer pink; drain. stir in the tomatoes and tomato sauce, rice and seasonings. spread to an ungreased 13"x9"x2 "baking dish. top with the cabbage and cheese. cover and bake @350 to 375 degrees until the rice is tender. yeilds 6 to 8 servings.
