Ingredients

1/2 lb. margarine

1/2 c. sugar

1 tsp. vanilla

2 1/4 c. flour

Dash salt

Maraschino cherries

ICING

1 c. powdered sugar

Cherry juice to color icing as pink as you like)

2 tbsp. margarine

Directions

Mix all ingredients but cherries together in mixing bowl. Take a little piece of dough, put a cherry in the middle of dough. Add another piece of dough on top and roll into ball. Put on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 325 degrees for 15-20 minutes (check sooner). Ice when cool. ICING: Ice tops of cookies.
