Cherry Nut Cake

Ingredients

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup butter

4 tablespoons cherry juice

2 cups flour

1/2 teaspoon lemon juice

2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup milk

3 egg whites beated stifff

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 cup cut cherries

1/2 cup nuts chopped

Directions

Cream sugar and butter. Add milk and dry ingredients alternately. Add cherry juice and beaten egg whites, nuts and cherries. Bake for 30 minutes in 350 degree oven.
