Ingredients

2/3 cup Almonds or Pecans chopped (finely)

1/2 cup Butter melted

1/4 cup Sugar

1 1/2 tblspoons Vanilla extract

6.2 ounces Milk chocolate candy bars (4)


Directions

Grease a 9 inch pan. Sprinkle half of almonds or pecans in bottom, melt butter in a heavy saucepan, add remaining ingredients except chocolate, cook stirring constantly and allowing to boil vigorously 5 to 6 minutes until golden brown (290 degrees on a candy thermoneter) carefully pour into pan, place candy bars on toffee, when melted spread evenly, sprinkle with remaining nuts. Refrigerate to set chocolate, break into bite sized pieces.

This recipe didn't work for me. If I had cooked the butter sugar and vanilla for 10 min it would have been ruined. 1 1/2 ounces of chocolate bars is one bar of chocolate where it says in the recipe in ( )s 4. prob won't make again, I hate wasting ingredients
