Crab and Asparagus Cassrole

Ingredients

1 (10 oz.) package frozen cut asparagus

1/4 CUP Finely chopped onions

1 tablespoon Margarine

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg

dash pepper

1 cup skim milk

8 oz fresh or frozen crab meat drained, cut into 1

2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese

2 cloves garlic

2 tablespoons slivered almonds


Directions

Cook asparagus according to package, drain well. Cook onions in margarine until tender, not brown. Stir in cornstarch, salt, nutmeg, & pepper. Stir in milk all at once. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir for 1 minute after that... Stir in crab and asparagus. Spoon mixture in to 4 individual casserole dished or one larger dish. Mix almonds and Parmesan cheese, sprinkle on top of casserole. BAKE @ 400(F) for 10 minutes, until cheese browned.
