This is an overnight slw=ow cook (crock pot) recipe. The hot pepers can be reduced, add green peppers to make up volume.
Category: Soups, Stews and Chili
Cuisine: American
2 1/2 pounds Ground turkey broken apart
1 large Onion chopped
1 medium green pepper chopped
1 28-oz can crushed tomatoes
2 12-oz cans Red Kidney beans include liquid from can
1 8-oz can tomato sauce
3 each Jalapeno peppers sliced
2 each Habanero Pepper chopped
2 tablespoons Garlic minced
1 teaspoon White pepper ground
1 teaspoon Cumin ground
1 tablespoon chili powder ground
1 teaspoon Red pepper ground
I used only one Habanero and added one stalk of celery and four medium carrots to temper heat plus add flavor similar to Melinda's Habanero Sauce. We loved it and "she" has the "tender" stomach.
KJKeithcartExcellent, can be varied to taste, but don't skip the fire!
KJKeithcartThis is very similar to my recipe, but I add fresh minced garlic, baby bellas, Mexican chili powder, worcestershire sauce, a dab or two of Dave's insanity hot sauce, and a little cinnamon. I also add chili beans, black beans, and great northern beans (rinsed). beans
Dwheels22Easy and simply delicious!
hamila01I used only the jalepeno peppers and also chili-ready diced tomatoes instead of crushed. This chili is excellent and just what I was looking for!!
