2 tablespoons sesame seeds

1 tablespoon water

1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce

1 tablespoon light maple syrup

1 tablespoon dry wine (the original recipe used sher but I used Riesling because it’s what I had open)

1 teaspoon fresh ginger root minced

1/2 teaspoon five spice powder (Asian spice blend)

2 tablespoons flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 lb raw boneless skinless chicken breast cut into bite-sized pieces

2 teaspoons sesame oil

Optional: 3 cups cooked brown rice
