Homemade "Bisquick"

I have been making this for years. My husband loves pancakes made using this recipe. I've successfully tweaked it by substituting wheat and bread flour, and it turned out well.

Ingredients

9 cups Flour

1/4 cup Sugar

2 1/3 Cups Powdered milk

1 tablespoon Salt

1/3 cup Baking powder

2 cups Shortening


Directions

In a large mixing bowl add flour,sugar, dry milk, baking powder, sugar, and salt; mix thoroughly. Cut the shortening into the dry Ingredients until the MIX is the consistency of corn meal. Store in covered glass or plastic container in a cool, dry place. Refrigerate in warm weather.
