Jodie's Saucy Sausage Manicotti

Ingredients

1 (8 oz) package manicotti shells

1 (16 oz) package italian sausage casings removed

1 onion chopped

9 cloves garlic pressed, divided

1 (26 oz) jar seven herb tomato sauce

1 (8 oz) container chive and onion cream cheese

6 cups Mozzarella shredded

3/4 cup parmesan cheese grated

1 (15 oz) container ricotta cheese part skim

3/4 teaspoon pepper


Directions

Cook shells according to package, drain. Cook sausage, onion and half of garlic in dutch oven over medium-high heat, stirring often. Stir in pasta sauce. Bring to boil. remove from heat. Heat oven to 350(F). Combine cream cheese, 4 cups mozzarella, and next 3 ingredients, and remaining garlic in large bowl. Cut a slit in each cooked shell. Spoon 1 cup sauce mixture into lightly greased 13x9 baking dish. Spoon cheese mixture into manicotti shells, gently pressing cut sides together. Arrange over sauce, seam side down. Spoon remaining sauce over shells. Sprinkle with remaining 2 cups mozzarella cheese. Bake for 50 minutes, until bubbly
