Karol's Brown Gravy Swiss Steak

Ingredients

2 1/2 pounds Beef Cube Steak

2 envelopes Lipton Beefy Onion Sup

2 beef bullion cubes

Flour - salt -pepper

Pam and oil

Aluminum foil


Directions

Pam a skillet , use about 4 tablespoons of oil in med high, pre- heat skillet. Salt/pepper lightly cube steak and dredged in flour. Place in skillet to brown On each side. You are not cooking it thru. Just brown it, about 3 minutes on each side. Easy on salt, the Soup has plenty of salt! Preheat oven to 350 degree's, while browning cube steak. Transfer the browned cube steak to a Pam'ed - so it will be easy clean up - Pyrex or baking pan w/ high sides.. About 12 X 16 size. In a large glass or 2 cup measure cup.. Place 2 envelopes of Lipton Beefy Onion in the measuring cup and add 2 heaping table spoons of flour.. Mix well. Then add HOT water.. Stirring the mixture. Pour 1/2 of the mixture over the cube steaks. Add more HOT water to the measuring cup stir well.. And pour the remaining over the steaks. Distribute the onion all around the steaks. Add 1 beefy bullion cube to each end of the pan.. This enhances the beef flavor for the gravy. The water/soup mixture should just cover the steaks. Sprinkle lightly about 1/2 teaspoon of pepper over the entire surface.. Cover the container w/ aluminum foil seal the edges.. As good as possible. Place in pre heated oven.. 350 degree's, for 2 hours.
