Ingredients

1 1/2 cups Milk

1/2 cup Butter

1/4 cup Sugar

1/4 teaspoon Salt

Directions

Use microwave to blend first 4 ingredients. Cool to appropriate temperature. Add 2 cups of flour and then 1 package of fast rising yeast by sprinkling yeast over top of the mixture and then knead in. Add 2 additional cups of flour slowly. Dough should be no longer sticky when done. Place back in greased bowl turning dough so top has moist surface. Roll out to approximately 10x13 shake - about 1/2" thick or less. Melt more butter and spread over dough except the top 1/2" of 13" edge. Sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar. (There is a red note on this recipe that after microwaving the first 4 ingredients to add equal amount of water to cool. Not sure if it's part of the recipe or not and I have not made this. I got this recipe from my mom.) Optional raisins and nuts. Roll up evenly from bottom of 13" edge. At unbuttered top of roll length - seal the roll. Use a double thread to tie off 1/2" individual rolls. Place on greased cake sheet. Middle of the roll will make the most uniform and best looking rolls. Let rise a short time - about 1/2 of the final height. Bake at 375 degrees . Do not overcook. Use Prune Cake frosting recipe or commonly used cinnamon roll topping or cream cheese frosting.
