Microwave Chocolate Crazy Cake

this cake recipe is from a 1983 book called Farang Favorites compiled by the American Women's Club of Bangkok. Easy version makes in the pan itself.

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups Flour sifted

1 cup sugar

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp baking soda

3 tablespoons cocoa

1 tablespoon vinegar

1 teaspoon vanilla

6 tablespoon melted butter or oil

1 cup cold water


Directions

Recipe for Oven: Preheat oven to 350F. Soft flour, measure and sift again with sugar, salt, soda and cocoa into and 8" square baking pan or dish. Make 3 holes in the dry ingredients. Into one put vinegar; into another, the vanilla; and into the other, the butter or oil. Pour water over all and mix thoroughly, but do not overmix. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes. MICROWAVE INSTRUCTIONS: Prepare the same as for conventional cooking making sure to use a glass pan. When ready to bake, cover loosely with a piece of paper towelling - and cook on high power for 9 minutes, turning once. cake will appear moist on top, test with a toothpick for doneness. Remove and place on a flat surface to cool.
