Morrocan Spiced Chicken Wings

Ingredients

1/4 cup orange

3 tablespoons tomato paste

2 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon curry

1 teaspoon ground turmeric

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon Olive oil

5 pounds chicken wings, tips removed and split at joint


Directions

In a slow cooker, combine juice, tomato paste, cumin, curry, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger and salt. Heat oil in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add wings and brown in several batches, about 6 minutes per batch. Transfer wings to slow cooker. Toss well to coat with sauce. Cover and cook on HIGH 3 to 3 1/2 hours or until tender.
