2 1/4 cups vital wheat gluten

1/2 cup rolled oats (old fashioned oatmeal) or quinoa flak

1/4 cup nutritional yeast

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon rubbed sage

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon hickory smoked salt (optional)

freshly ground black pepper

1 1/2 cups vegetable broth room temperature

2 tablespoons soy sauce coconut aminos or gluten-free tamari

2 cloves garlic peeled

1 tablespoon tahini or other nut butter
