Picadillo Cubano (Cuban Ground Beef)

Ingredients

1 cup(s) No Salt Added Tomato Sauce, more if needed

1-2 clove(s) Fresh garlic, peeled and minced

1/4 cup Onions minced (optional)

1/4 cup Green Peppers minced (optional)

1 1/2 ounces Red Raisins, more if desired

1/2 cup Spanish Olives w/ Pimento sliced or crumbled

1 pound Ground Beef


Directions

In a 10" skillet, combine tomato sauce, olives, raisins, and fresh garlic; (green peppers & onions if desired). FAST PREP Cook sauce ingredients for 3 minutes over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, then add ground beef; continue cooking for 8 - 10 minutes. Let stand for 1 - 2 minutes, stir and serve as tacos or with rice. SLOW PREP (This one is my favorite, it adds more flavor) Cook sauce ingredients for 8 minutes over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, then add ground beef; continue cooking for 15 - 20 minutes. Let stand for 1 - 2 minutes, stir and serve as tacos or with rice.

One of my family's favorite dish! I make it without the raisins, red bell pepper instead of green, and it's still delicious! With white or yellow rice! :) Taste Just like my moms picadillo!
