Ingredients

1 Roll Premade Pizza Dough

8 cups Water

1/4 cup Baking Soda

1 Egg Beaten

2 tbsp Unsalted butter Melted

Sesame Seeds

Kosher Salt Coarse

Directions

Preheat oven to 425. In a large pot, add water and bring to a rolling boil over medium-high heat. Line a baking tray with paper towels Roll out pizza dough and cut into 6 equal strips lengthwise. Cut each strip into 2” squares, then roll each square into a ball. Once water is boiling, slowly add baking soda (SLOWLY so it doesn’t bubble up and overflow) and mix gently. Working in batches, add dough balls to water, and boil for 60-90 seconds until balls puff up and double in size. Carefully remove balls from water and place on paper towels. Once all dough has been boiled and drained, move to a new baking sheet lined with parchment or a baking mat. Brush tops with egg, then sprinkle with salt and sesame seeds. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until a deep golden brown. Remove from oven and brush tops with melted butter. Here you can add additional seasonings. Allow to cool and serve with your favorite cheese or dipping sauce. PROTIP: For sticky sweet treats, skip the salt and sesame seeds before baking. Once they have cooled, add them to a container or plastic bag with melted butter, ½ cup sugar, and one tablespoon cinnamon. Toss them to coat and serve!
