Pork Chops in Creamy Dijon Mushroom Sauce

This made a great supper my wife loved it. Not spicy at all. I served it with broccoli and the rest of the package of mushrooms sauteed in butter with 1/2 a finely chopped onion.

Ingredients

6 Pork chops boneless center cut

3/4 cup milk

1 tablespoon Flour

1/2 teaspoon Instant bouillon chicken flavoured

1 cup Mushroom sliced

1/2 cup Sour cream fat free

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

3 cups Wild rice cooked

Directions

Heat oven broiler, cook pork chops 6 inches from heat source for 12 to 16 minutes, turning occasionally, or until pork is slightly pink in the center. Meanwhile in a two quart saucepan over medium heat, stir together milk, flour and bouillion with wire wisk. Stir in mushrooms. Coook, stirring constantly, five to seven minutes or until mixture comes to a full boil. Boil one minute. Stir in sour cream and mustard. Serve pork chops over cooked wild rice. Top with sauce. Sprinkle with green onion.

Tasty and simple, but needed modifications. We used heavy cream instead of sour cream because it was what I had on hand. The sauce was fairly bland so I added garlic powder right at the end, which helped a little. I seasoned the pork with salt, pepper, and paprika before cooking, which gave it a touch more flavor. I still feel like it needed something more, but I couldn't decide what that was. I'll experiment some next time I make this. The kids both ate it, and neither one really likes pork. It was good. A better than average pork recipe. But it definitely needs a more complex flavor profile for my tastebuds.

Sauce was very tasty, added a little garlic and pepper to taste at the end. Used the leftover sauce over mushroom/cheese raviolis. Delicious

This has recently become our favorite pork chop recipe! Even the children ask for seconds. I appreciate that the sauce is made with healthier staples, rather than canned soups.

My family loves it.....it's a great low fat alternative

Made this again tonight. I pan seared/sautéed because chops were thin and it still came out fabulously. I also used salt and pepper to season the chops first.
