Would be overall good roasting sauce for other meats like pork... Very simple and tasty. Good with mashed potatoes.

4

1 Finely sliced

2 Chopped

2/3 Cup 140 mL

700 ML Barilla pasta sauce

Directions

Step 1 Heat oil in a large heavy-based saucepan over a medium-high heat. Season flour with salt and pepper then coat lamb in flour, shaking off excess. Add to pan and cook, turning often, for 5-6 minutes or until browned. Remove from pan. Add onion and garlic, and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened slightly. Step 2 Increase heat to high and add wine to pan. Cook for 2 minutes. Stir in cooking sauce and bring to a simmer. Step 3 Put lamb shanks in roasting pan and sauce over the shanks. Add lid. Bake for 1-11/2 hours at 200 C. Half recipe for 2 people... Is one Barilla jar. Use Barilla with other veggies for more texture.
