Ingredients

1 (4-lb.) beef brisket flat cut into 3 pieces

1 1/2 teaspoons salt

1 1/2 teaspoons pepper

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

3 large white onions cut in half and thinly sliced (6 loosely packed cups; about 3 lb.)

4 shallots sliced

1 teaspoon sugar

1 (750-milliliter) bottle dry red wine

1 1/2 teaspoons chopped fresh rosemary divided

1 (10-oz.) package cipollini onions peeled

Amazing! Everyone loved it, cooked it 7 hours.

Nice recipe and easy to make. Go lighter on the sugar. Onions were cooked too much at 3 hours and meat was done. Make onions larger and don't completely cook to clear before adding to meat. Also, I decreased the wine and added same amount of water with 2 tsp of kitchen bouquet for a flavor boost. Delicious.

Was sooooo amazing only the longer I cook it the more it melts in your mouth! Also added some thyme which also took it up a notch! Great recipe!!!
