Root Beer Baked Beans

Ingredients

1/2 ts Dry mustard

1/2 c Root beer (do not use diet)

1/4 c Barbecue sauce

1 sm Onion, diced

36 oz Baked beans

3 dr Hot pepper sauce

Black Pepper freshly ground

2 Strips bacon, diced


Directions

1. Cook bacon with onion in a medium saucepan until bacon is brown and crisp. 2. Add remaining ingredients. Heat to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, stirring often, until slightly thickened, 20 minutes.

These are definitely the spiciest baked beans I have ever made. The hot sauce and the pepper are going to be an addition that I try with my other baked beans recipes. While they may be a little spicy for some people's tasted, I loved them.
