8 crisp cooked and cut into 1-inch pieces, 1 cup finely chopped purchased or leftover cooked beef brisket, 12 ounces bulk pork sausage or ground beef, cooked and drained
There are limitless combinations with this recipe, but we used syrup, ketchup, salsa, molasses, dried oregano, cumin, cannellini beans, and thick cut bacon the first time that we made it. We took them out of the oven after 2 hours because they were becoming a little dry. They are certainly tasty, and we will make them again. We might try some of the other spices or use another meat, but they were great using the ingredients we have listed. Thanks for contributing.
