Sauted Asparagus

Ingredients

3 tb Soy sauce

2 tb Sherry

3 tb Water

1 1/4 ts Sugar

1 pk Powdered beef broth; (i.e.

3 tb Vegetable oil

1/2 ts Cornstarch mixed; mixed

2 tb Sliced onion

2 lb Asparagus; (only the tender


Directions

Wash asparagus and cut diagonally about 2 inches long and 1/4 inch thick. Heat oil, brown onion a little; add asparagus cooking over a high heat until its color turns bright green. Mix soy sauce, sugar, powdered beef broth and sherry together; add to asparagus, and thicken with cornstarch mixture.
