Sherried Mushroom Soup

Ingredients

1/4 c fresh chives Chopped

1 tb olive oil

3 lg Shallots chopped fine

2 c Low-salt chicken broth

2 tb Unsalted butter

3/4 lb Mushrooms half of them

3 tb Cream Sherry


Directions

Can be prepared in 45 minutes or less. In a saucepan melt butter with oil over moderate heat until foam subsides and saute shallots and mushrooms over moderately high heat, stirring, until liquid mushrooms give off is evaporated and mushrooms begin to brown. Add Sherry and boil until evaporated. Stir in broth and simmer 15 minutes, or until mixture is reduced to about 2 1/2 cups. Stir in chives or scallion greens and season soup with salt and pepper. The last ingredient on the list says "...fresh chives or." "Or" what? I am seeing this recipe as needing proofreading. Other recipes have the same problem, missing ingredients or incomplete ingredients, etc. Help! Who wants to try a recipe without a potentially key ingredient or ingredient amount.
