Slow Cooker Easy Cabbage Rolls Casserole

Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs ground beef or turkey

2 med onions finely chopped

1 clove garlic minced

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1 small can tomato sauce 6 oz

1 cup water

1 can tomato soup

1/2 cup long grain rice

4 cups cabbage shredded

1/3 cup tomato juice or water

sour cream


Directions

In skillet, combine gr. Beef – onions – garlic –salt & pepper. Drain. Return to heat and add tomato. Sauce - water & ½ can of tomato soup. Mix well. Add rice, stirring to combine. In slightly greased insert, place ½ of meat mixture, then ½ of cabbage, top with remaining meat mixture and rem. Cabbage. In a bowl, combine rem. tomato soup with tomato juice, mixing well. Pour into slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 8 to10 hrs. or on high for 4 to 6 hours. Serve with sour cream PS: make sure it’s not overcooking or it will turn to mush, check the timing.
