Spiced Carrots

Ingredients

2 lbs carrots

1/4 c. butter

1/4 c. brown sugar

1/4 c. apple jelly

1/2 t. salt

1 t. lemon juice

1/2 t. nutmeg

1/4 t. Cinnamon

1/4 c. slivered almonds


Directions

1. Boil small whole carrots until crisp-tender. Drain. 2. In a saucepan, combine all other ingredients and heat until melted and blended. 3. Pour carrots into a greased 2-quart baking dish. 4. Cover with sauce. 5. Turn carrots to coat with sauce. 6. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
