Spooned Halvah

Ingredients

6 tb Butter

1 c Sugar

1/2 c Chopped nuts or pignolia

2 c Water

Cinnamon

1 c Cream of wheat

Melt butter in a deep pan; add cream of what and nuts. With wooden spoon stir over moderate heat until golden, about 10 minutes. Meanwhile bring water and sugar to a slow boil.. Cook 3 minutes. Pour syrup slowly over cream of what and simmer, stirring until slightly thickened. Remove from heat. Cover; let stand 10 minutes. Shape with individual molds turn out onto plates and sprinkle with cinnamon. OR, fill ungreased 9 inch square pan and sprinkle with cinnamon. Cut into sqaures and serve.
