Squire's Wild Rice and Beef

Ingredients

1 Cup Uncooked Rice 1/2 wild rice and 1/2 brown rice; Uncle Ben's wild and brown rice or Uncle Ben's wild and long grain rice can be substituted

3 Cups Boiling Water

6 Tbsp. Minced Onion (2 medium onions)

1/4 Cup Butter

2 Cups Ground Round Steak (1lb.)

1 Cup Minced Fresh Parsley (1/4 Cup Dry)

1/2 Cup Slivered Almonds Toasted

2 Cups Cream of Chicken Soup Undiluted

2 Cups Sliced Fresh Mushrooms

2 Beef Bouillon Cubes

1 Cup Boiling Water

1/4 Tsp Salt

1/2 Tsp Celery Salt

1/2 Tsp Onion Salt

1/2 Tsp Garlic Salt

1 Tsp Paprika

1/2 Tsp Black Pepper

1 Bay Leaf Crumbed


Directions

Pour boiling water over rice and let stand for 45 minutes (keep water hot). Drain. Brown onions in butter; add meat and cook for 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Mix with rice and remaining ingredients. Refrigerate overnight. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Serves 8 to 12.
