Brown Hamburger meat in skillet. When cooked, drain and rinse the meat to remove excess grease. Season meat with salt and pepper. At the same time in a separate pan, over medium heat combine two cans of refried beans and kidney beans, and the tomato paste. Add several shakes of chili powder and cumin to taste.
Keep layers visible, spread the third can of refried beans across the bottom of each bowl or plate as the bottom layer. Layer the first bean mixture onto that and top everything with the cooked hamburger. The heat from the topping will warm the beans so they can be plated straight out of the can.
