2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
2 teaspoons Garlic minced
2 Thai peppers (up to 3), sliced
1 cup onion cut in fine wedges
1/2 pound chicken breast
2 cups broccoli
2 teaspoons Sugar
3 tablespoons Fish sauce
3 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 tbs Chili powder
1 cup fresh basil
Very easy to make and quite delicious. Added some crushed peanuts and served over brown rice. A new favorite.
david75252Almost forgot... I also substituted a Thai seasoning blend I bought at the grocery store for the chili powder called for in the recipe. Not sure what chili powder was intended, but regular didn't seem right...
pols005This is a terrific recipe, typically light Thai cuisine. I used broccoli, sliced sugar snap peas and sliced bell peppers, and served it over Thai rice noodles. It's important to use lots of basil, chop it fairly coarsly, and to not let it wilt too much - it shouldn't look like steamed spinach, but should still have some of its light green color when you serve it. Wonderful!
