Tuna with Saffron Red Pepper Sauce

Ingredients

1/2 finely chopped

1 finely chopped

1 1/2 coarsely chopped

1/8 cup

1/2 cup

Directions

Heat medium saute pan over medium heat. Add onions & garlic and cook until soft. Add the red peppers, vinegar, water & saffron. Bring to a simmer. Cook for 15-20 mins. Place in mini food processor and blend until smooth. Season with salt & pepper. Brush both sides of tuna with EVOO and season with salt & pepper. Heat grill pan over med-high heat. Cook tuna 2-3 mins per side. Spoon sauce onto plates. Place tuna on top of sauce.
