Ingredients

1 cup Ketchup

1 cup Water

1/4 cup Cider vinegar

1 ea Onion finely diced

3 cloves Garlic crushed

2 tablespoon Brown sugar

2 tablespoon Molasses

2 tablespoon Dry mustard

1 teaspoon Cayenne

Directions

Mix all together and simmer for 20 minutes. Our notes: First made 4/16/08. The result was still chunky, so I chose to strain it through a mesh sieve. The thin sauce was spicy and very good on pulled pork. Next time, I might try the "boat motor" in the sauce to blend instead of straining, but it was great strained too.

I have made this recipe many times...for a few and for a crowd of 30. It NEVER FAILS me!!! Being a southern girl transplanted to Chicago, they get a little taste of my home.

Going to try this soon.

Very tasty sauce with pulled pork. Next time I will put it in the blender to smooth it out though.

My Husband made this for the first time; it was sooooo good. He only used half an onion.
