Ingredients

8 ounces whole-wheat spaghetti

1 1/2 teaspoons Extra virgin olive oil

1/2 small Onion chopped

1 teaspoon Dried basil

1/8 teaspoon Red pepper flakes

2 ounces thinly sliced lean ham, in thin strips

3/4 cup fat-free Half-and-half

1 cup Frozen Peas thawed

3 tablespoons Freshly grated parmesan cheese

salt and ground pepper


Directions

Cook pasta according to package directions.Before draining,reserve 1/2cup of the pasta cooking liquid.While pasta is cooking,add onion, basil, and red pepper flakes.add ham, half-and-half, and pasta cooking liqiud.Add peas and a good pinch of salt and pepper; cook for 2 min. Add pasta, toss to coat, reduceheat to low, and cook 1 minute more.
