Mix yeast and sugar stir in a cup with a little warm water. Yeast is ready when frothy on top.
Place half the flour in a large bowl, make a well in the centre, add yeast mixture and remaining warm water. Combine with a fork, adding remaining flour. Once mixture is dry enough mix by hand until pliant, soft and no longer sticky.
Turn onto a floured board and knead for 5 minutes Gently shape dough to fit the tin. Oil tin well and gently press dough into tin.
Cover with a clean cloth and place in a warm spot until dough doubles in size. Brush top with egg and sprinkle sesame seeds.
Bake in a preheated 200C oven for 30-40 minutes until loaf sounds hollow when tapped. Turn out load onto wire rack to cool.
