If Yann could see the name Hot Dog Chili Sauce with the word Chili in the name, he would have a fit. This is not chili...it is sauce. And the reason his sauce was so successful is because it contains no tomato paste, tomato's or ketchup...using those makes it spaghetti sauce. Tone down the hot ingredients to get the taste you want. And let me know if you have a good recipe for Hot Dog Sauce...always looking...dbocc@aol.com

Tastes a little harsh. Added ketchup to it, next time I will use a little less chili powder.

Not even close to Russell yanns sauce. So sad they put his name on this.

Thanks for the recipe. I grew up in Fairmont and love Yann's. Tips. After all ingredients are added use an immersion blender to achieve consistency. I use hot Hungarian paprika. Love it. Meat should not be cooked prior. More water will definitely be needed. Made twice with great success!

I am from Fairmont, WV. Yann's is loved by all of my age group and older. The small redone shack that they make and sell from, since day one isn't much bigger than a n old large sized elevator like the one still used today from the fairmont ave bridge, to the city parking lot under the bridge, is pretty much the same size as his whole hot dog restaurant .. if you like hot.. so hot that milk or chocolate milk to put the fire out inside your mouth din your throat and all the way to and including your stomach.. then you will lovr these.. I can't wait to try the recipe here to see if it is the same.. will let you know!!! Carlena C.
