Bread Pudding with Lemon Hard Sauce

Ingredients

1/2 ts Nutmeg

1/2 c Raisins

4 c Bread crumbs

1/2 c Sugar

2 Eggs beaten

1/4 c Butter or margarine

2 c milk

1/4 ts Salt


Directions

Combine the butter or margarine, sugar, salt, and raisins with the milk. Heat to a boil. Pour over bread crumbs. Allow to set for 5 minutes. Add the eggs, nutmeg and mix well. Place into a buttered casserole. Bake at 350 for 50-55 minutes. Serve with a Lemon Sauce or a Hard Sauce. Hard Sauce: Cream 1/2 cup butter or margarine with 1 1/2 cups sugar.
