4 lb Red-skinned sweet potatoes; into 1-inch pieces
1/2 ts Salt
1 pn Ground ginger
1/2 c almonds Sliced
2/3 c Packed golden brown sugar
I had never tasted sweet potatoes, ever, because I assumed I wouldn't like them. On thanksgiving my husband asked for them so I searched this recipe and whipped up a batch. Since I made them I tried them. Holy Cow!! They were awesome! What have I been missing all these years. I had three helpings throughout the day!
SpertosoThis recipe is from a 1994 Bon Appetit (November?). It is a Thanksgiving must make for our family but I make it at other times "just because" it is so good.
