Caribbean Pork Chops with Apple Island Sauce

Ingredients

2/3 c Water

1 ts Chicken-flavor instant

1 tb Vegetable oil

3/4 ts Cinnamon

1/3 c Onions chopped

4 Boneless pork loin chops

1/3 c Lemon juice

2 ts Light brown sugar

1/4 ts Cayenne pepper (up to 1/2 tsp)

3/4 ts Thyme leaves

3/4 ts Ground allspice

3/4 ts Black pepper


Directions

Combine all ingredients except meat. Place meat in shallow dish or plastic bag, Pour marinade over meat. Cover; marinate in refrigerator 4 hours or overnight. Remove meat from marinade; heat marinade. Grill or broil as desired, basting frequently with marinade. Serve with Apple Island Sauce. Refrigerate leftovers. APPLE ISLAND SAUCE: In small saucepan, combine 1-1/2 cups chunky applesauce, 1/2 cup water, 2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons sugar and 2 teaspoons lemon juice.
