The classic Italian cookie passed from Aunt Vi to my Grandma Aurora, reworked into a chocolate orange variety. Grandma always made the traditional anise flavor and sometimes almond, but the recipe card given to me gives options for a lemon or orange cookie. I decided to try chocolate orange instead and it turned out better than I had hoped.

carmelabotticella-morelliSo will this work with just Canola oil and no butter?
carmelabotticella-morelliVery easy to make for a quick treat, as long as you have a Pizelle press. I added candy sprinkles to the mix and also dipped the edges in melted mint chocolate once they were cooled off.
